What Does Accept Mean?
What Does Accept Mean?

You might have been asked the question "Have you accepted Jesus in your life"?
But what does the word “Accept“ mean?
Well, I have accepted that I can’t speak and walk, I have got an electric wheelchair to move around, and I have got a special computer, that enables me to speak to groups of people about my life with Jen, my wife.
If I didn’t accept my disability my life would have been complete different, I would probably have died or I would be living in a care home. Because I have accepted those things which I can’t do, and the help was there to help me to do those things in different ways, it has helped us to live in a flat with a support package.
A lot of people think if they live a good life they will get into heaven. Is that true? Well, Jesus said “Nobody will get into heaven, except though me”. Except though me, what does that mean?
Well, Jesus was speaking there, you need to have him in your life, accept Jesus. OK, but how?
By speaking to him, this is praying. But before I type this prayer, I must warn you, it is not a quick fix to accept Jesus into your life. If you can’t speak, think it.
Jesus, I believe you are the Son of God, that you died on the cross to rescue me from sin and death and to restore me to our Father God. I choose now to turn from my sins, my self-centredness, and every part of my life that does not please you. I choose you. Amen.
If you have prayed that prayer, then go and find a church near you, that you are comfortable in, or use the links in the Useful Links page, above.
Thanks
